WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism is culmination of your belief that Jesus is your savior, your willingness to confess that publicly and turn to Him as Lord of your life. It is the point in your life where you surrender your life to Him.

Every person who has faith in Jesus Christ, and wants to be saved.

To follow the example
set by Jesus.

A person who believes that Jesus is Lord should do as He commands. A version of the word baptism is mentioned more than 70 times in the Bible - there are several examples in the book of Acts where people were baptized immediately after they believed Jesus was Lord.

WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND IT?
“For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we
also may live new lives.”

This is a beautiful picture of us dying to ourselves and being raised from the “spiritual dead” and living a new life in Christ with Him as our Lord and Savior.
It is a pledging.

It brings forgiveness.

It signifies us dying to ourselves. - Colossians 2:12
It means rebirth.

HOW DO YOU GET BAPTIZED?
Baptism is by immersion. The Greek word "baptize" (Baptizo) means "to immerse or dip under water." Every description of baptism in the Bible indicates that immersion was the common method. Through descriptions such as “plenty of water” (John 3:23), “came up out of the water” (Mark 1:10), “went down... came up out of” (Acts 8:36) and others, it is clear that immersion was the practice. The beauty of baptism as described in Romans 6 can only be fulfilled through immersion.
